To describe the present-day situation of the teaching and learning of the curricular languages in some schools of the Basque Country.

To report on some key elements that connect language teaching and learning management to the students’ achievement.

To indicate the influence of the decisions taken by the school, about the teaching of the curricular languages, on students’ learning.

° Analysis of the school official documents about the teaching and learning of the curricular languages.
° Interviews and meetings.
° Questionnaires.

Elaboration of the following questionnaires:

Linguistic awareness and linguistic attitudes (for students)

• Students’ observation in their classroom.
• Analysis of students’ works at school (Basque, Spanish and English: listening, reading, writing and speaking).

• External assessment: Basque, Spanish, English and Science and Geography fields
• Questionnaires for students about language awareness and attitudes to languages.
